Sonoma County Tourism
Sonoma County Tourism was rebranded and in need of a serious UX update. Outside of leisure tourists, this client has several different audiences as well as international markets that needed more attention in this website redesign. I designed the new site to feel less corporate and more inviting to visitors by simplifying and streamlining the design around content.
MY ROLE: Lead designer on redesign, interaction design and prototypes, map illustration, part of discovery and user testing, support through and after launch
To improve the text-heavy and stiffness of the previous site, I showcased the photography assets and User Generated Content on higher level pages, and broke up long form content, like articles and itineraries, with more photography and tabs to show distinct sections of content.
